Gencore has been doing business since June of 2000
with maternal and terminal boars from Waldo Farms, De Witt, NE. Gencore has grown from several boars to nearly 100. The business
has grown because of the joint effort between Gencore and Waldo in promotion of Waldo Genetics and also because of the excellent
service provided by Gencore.
We are excited to announce the arrival of Whiteshire Hamroc
LLC sires. The boars arrived in early spring 2004. Please contact us for more information.
PERSONNEL
Dave Jensen Co-partner and Business Manager. Dave and his family were involved in commercial
swine production for many years. Dave has a large farming operation and is also involved in a rental properties business in
Ames, IA. Most of Gencore's facilities are located on Dave's farm.
Steve Ramsay Co-partner and Production Manager. Steve has 18 plus years experience working
in a large AI center. Steve's responsibilities have been Herd Manager, Boar Manager, Export Manager, and Salesman as well
as countless hours of laboratory experience and semen analysis.
Dr. Locke Karriker DVM, MS Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Karriker is a graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was
the herd Veterinarian at Seaboard Farms for the last four years. In October 2003, he joined the faculty at Iowa State University
College of Veterinary Medicine as an assistant professor of swine production management. Gencore utilizes his expertise in
consulting for our boar stud. He is also responsible for our strict health guidelines.
